Hummus Crab Cakes
Combine the delicious flavors of fresh crab and Fresh Cravings Garlic Hummus for truly unique crab cakes perfect as an appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Fresh lump crab
- 4 oz Fresh Cravings Garlic Hummus
- 1 Shallot finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 large Egg (beaten)
- 1 cup of Chopped parsley
- 1/4 tsp Ground paprika
- 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper
- Avocado & Lemon slices for topping
Directions
- Mix ½ cup breadcrumbs with the rest of the except crab in a large bowl until well mixed
- Add lump crab until well mixed
- Add the remainder of the breadcrumbs and mix until well incorporated
- Form crab cakes into palm sized circles and flatten slightly
- Spray non-stick frying pan with olive oil (or 1 teaspoon if no sprayer)
- Fry at medium low for about 3-4 minutes each side until golden brown
- Serve with Garlic hummus on top plus lemon slices and fresh avocado
